Here are the photos from our 60th Anniversary party:

Our next workshop will be on Monday 25th June 2018 at Llanelltyd Village Hall, starting at 10:30am, and finishing at about 4pm. The cost for members will be £10 and £12 for non-members. The tutor will be Margaret Owen.
A variety of composition items will be available but bring your own if you wish. Collage is a slow process and we will aim to complete a small piece of work during this session. Please bring the following materials:

To celebrate our 60 year anniversary, we are running a 4 day LIVE ART EVENT
LIVE ART Members of the society will be creating artwork live. Come and see, ask questions and get inspired
ART WALL Contribute to our celebrations by creating your own small masterpiece, we’ll provide materials and inspiration
JUNIOR ART COMPETITION We are running a competition for school children, come and see the works by our winners
Some of our members are in this group. Pop along if you can. Tea and coffee will be available.

Huw’s next exhibition of the year starts Friday 20th April at Cantref, Bala opening at 7.30 in the evening. This is a solo exhibition of around 27 of his paintings all of the area around Dolgellau. Do come to the opening or visit the exhibition.

Our next workshop will be on Monday 30th April 2018 at Llanelltyd Village Hall, starting at 10:30am, and finishing at about 4pm. The cost for members will be £10 and £12 for non-members. The tutor will be Ken Bridges.
The aim of the workshop will be to explore methods of creating light effects in a simple watercolour landscape. If time allows we will produce the same painting 3 times attempting to portray different times of day. Ken will produce a simple sketch for attendees to copy.

Because of time pressure and limited space ii is probably best to restrict the numbers attending to a maximum of 15. Tea and coffee will be provided but please bring your own packed lunch.

The workshop will involved participants creating art works using different tools such as business cards, sticks and string etc. as well as the more conventional approaches of brushes and knives.



Our next workshop will be on Monday 26th February 2018 at Llanelltyd Village Hall, starting at 10:30am, and finishing at about 4pm. The cost for members will be £10 and £12 for non-members. The tutor will be Chris Pugh.
The workshop will involve participants creating art works using different tools such as business cards, sticks and string etc. as well as the more conventional approaches of brushes and knives. You should bring media and supports of your choice together with anything you would like to apply it with. Also bring a subject to draw (2D or 3D). Chris will also bring a subject-matter and tools for applying paint. He will demonstrate and provide guidance during the session.
Tea and coffee will be provided but please bring your own packed lunch.
